July 26, 2018 Dear Mr. Talboo, Due to your interest in a strong economy and domestic manufacturing, I wanted to inform you of my efforts to keep jobs here in America. Pennsylvania is home to the finest manufacturing workforce in the world. I believe that domestic companies in our state and elsewhere would be better off in the long term if they kept their manufacturing bases in the United States. Sadly, the 21st century has already seen the loss of more than 70,000 manufacturing plants and more than 5 million manufacturing jobs throughout our country. It is long past time for a major turnaround plan. While specific actions by President Trump and Congress have certainly helped, more must be done.
